What is the mission of your organization? |
|
The Sub Zero Mission is a privately held, fully accredited charity based in Ohio with a chapter in Buffalo, NY. Our Mission is to prevent the freezing and injury caused by extreme weather exposure to the homeless and financially destitute Americans. We have special focus on military veterans. Our intent is to continue to collect sleeping bags and other warming items and distribute these directly to the homeless. The Sub Zero Mission will also accept monetary donations. These donations will be used to purchase warming items to be distributed to the homeless. These items included, but are not limited to: • Sleeping bags • Coats • Hats • Hand warmers • Survival bags |
|
Which social causes does your agency address through its programming? |
|
Most schools have between $1000 and $1500 to grant. How could your organization use a grant of this size? * |
Grant money received would be used to continue our mission buy supplying homeless veterans (and non-verterans) with sleeping bags, coats, gloves, hats, socks, etc. so they do not freeze on cold winter nights. |
Any other comments you would like to share with the students who might be reviewing your request? |
Please take a look at our website and view our videos. Any help is always appreciated. We love working with the youth volunteers. |
Does your organization have volunteer opportunities available for high school students? |
Yes |
List possible volunteer opportunities -or- a link to where they can be found on the web. |
We have several fundraisers throughout the year in the Painesville/Perry, OH area (golf outings, etc). Start a drive in your hometown and Sub Zero would be glad to help find homeless in your area and give them warming items. |
