What is the mission of your organization? |
Our organizations mission is to 1. Promote excellance in the Perry Public School Diostrict! 2. Provide financial assistance for the School District's educational programs and projects. 3. Provide financial assistance in support of the District's curricular and co-curricular activities. 4. To actively raise funding in support of the above mentioned activities and to do whatever is necessary and/or appropriate to accomplish our mission supporting the goals of higher education. |
Which social causes does your agency address through its programming? |
Most schools have between $1000 and $1500 to grant. How could your organization use a grant of this size? * |
A grant of this nature could be used to offer a one time $1,000 or $1,500 scholorship for college tuition and/or books in a pursuit of a degree in an area of social, political or science disciplines or as directed by the students making this award possible. Another option would be to use the money in our on going revolving loan programs for college bound students with very favorable interest rates and which will eventually be repaid so the money can again be loan out to future graduating students. All monies in this program as well as any interest paid goes directly into future loans. None of the money involved in either program is used for administrative costs. |
Any other comments you would like to share with the students who might be reviewing your request? |

All of the Perry Foundation Board members work as volunteers and are not paid in any fashion. The schoools assistes with minor costs of prinint and use of the Perry School website to enable the foundation to operate very economically. One very important additional factor to consider is that a donation for either a scholorship or a future loan received in calendar year 2013 will be matched by the North Perry Village Council up to $12,500 total for the year. This means that a $1,000 or $1,500 donation can result in a future loan potential of $2,000 to $3,000 as the funds are matched by North Perry. The Perry Foundation was founded in 1936 and over the years has provided scholorships for over 300 students and loans to at least another 500 students. |
