| MISSION: SonLight Power transforms lives with love and solar power.SonLight Power designs and builds solar energy solutions for community venues – schools, medical clinics, orphanages, community centers, churches, water-pumping stations – in remote locations around the world, bringing clean electricity for the first time to thousands who do not have it.We engage with the communities we serve to improve access to educational opportunities, wellness, clean water, economic development and emergency preparedness – empowering others with a renewed sense of hope. The videos on the SonLight Power YouTube channel give visual context into how our mission programming impacts children, education, the environment (and much more) in immediate and lasting ways. Because practically every form of outreach requires reliable electrical power to be effective, SonLight Power programming is uniquely designed to have a multiplier effect on the outreach we equip. Since 2002, we have equipped over 200 venues (schools, medical clinics, orphan care centers, water pumping stations, community centers – even radio towers) with a power source (solar power) for the first time, empowering vulnerable communities to improve their quality of life. What’s more, because our programming is based on solar power design and installation, SonLight Power uniquely combines STEM concepts from the classroom to impact real lives in sustainable ways. For that reason, our outreach is uniquely aligned with the STEM curriculum in most schools.
