What is the mission of your organization? | |
At SHP, we fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. If a child needs a bed, we want to make sure they get one.
NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN! The Cincinnati East Chapter was started in January 2024 and is dedicated to serving those kids in need in Hamilton County. There are thousands of kids in the Cincinnati area who don’t have a bed of their own. We are here to help them – with the help of many volunteers including middle school and high school students! |

The Cincinnati East SHP chapter is dedicated to partnering with schools to help them engage their students and families in a hands-on service activity. Kids of all ages are help to help with bed builds as well as bed deliveries. We are also dedicated to finding ways for teens to serve on our junior board.
As a former teacher and community service director at the Middle School and High School level, I know the impact meaningful community service can have on the lives of the volunteers. We are here to help you help the kids of Cincinnati. |
