Camp Swoneky has been a place of rest, relaxation and fun for both kids and adults alike! The ministry of Camp Swoneky is focused on bringing kids to Christ through love, acceptance and support. Because of this, many children have found hope in the midst of things like poverty, broken homes, and broken spirits. Many also find a calling, and with a desire to give that same hope to others in need, they return to Camp SWONEKY year after year as volunteers, staff members, and counselors. Camp SWONEKY operates under 5 key objectives: – To promote awareness of God, His love and, through the love of Jesus Christ, aid in spiritual growth and knowledge of basic human values. – To give children, youth and adults a fun-filled, healthy, safe, educational and inspirational experience in the outdoors. – To develop an understanding, appreciation and sense of stewardship for nature and all living creatures. – To help individuals grow in understanding themselves and each other, seeing caring staff working together for the sake of children. – To provide a loving and supportive environment where families can learn to cope with and solve the problems they face in their everyday lives.
