What is the mission of your organization?
ProKids exists because of the nearly 3,500 abused and neglected children who have been removed from their homes and placed into the Hamilton County child protection system, most into foster care. ProKids is the only non-profit organization to advocate on behalf of the best interest of these children.
ProKids vision is a safe, permanent, nurturing home for every child. ProKids mission is to mobilize the community to break the vicious cycle of child abuse and neglect by investing in the promise of these children. We do this by recruiting, training, and supporting community members to become Court Appointed Special Advocates, known as CASA Volunteers. Our dedicated CASA Volunteers speak up for abused and neglected children, both in and out of court, advocating for them in all areas of their lives, and ultimately guiding them into safe environments where they can thrive. Through our strong alliances within the child protection system, ProKids works to maximize outcomes for all children, creating a new cycle of growing up safe and secure, fundamentally changing the future for each child and for our entire community. |

ProKids has a proven track record of successful and sustainable growth. In 2021, ProKids served 1,101 children with the support of 331 CASA Volunteers – the greatest numbers we have ever seen. In the last decade, ProKids has doubled the number of children served while not only maintaining but improving our child centered outcomes despite an increasingly strained child protection system. Every year, 99% of children served by ProKids are safe from abuse and neglect and 95% are guided into safe, permanent and nurturing family homes. As we move forward, we’re dedicated to maintaining this growth trajectory and continuing to increase our programming capacity to meet the needs of children in our community.
