Most schools have between $1000 and $1500 to grant. How could your organization use a grant of this size? *

We would use it to increase our offerings of Recreation Program activities since many people with disabilities cannot socialize without transportation, fees (e.g., to movies, etc.) or friends. A grant of this size would mean that people with disabilities with low income could go to a Reds game, out to eat, to a movie and lunch, see an art show, make crafts, attend a hockey game or any number of other recreational offerings we provide monthly.

Any other comments you would like to share with the students who might be reviewing your request?

We would love to have you accompany us on recreational outings too – our group consists of adults with severe mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, and brain injuries and they are extremely great people! They would love to have a new face come along with us and you'd learn a lot. Thank you so much for your consideration and your work in the community! It's important!
