| What is the mission of your organization? | |
| Parkinson Support & Wellness (PSW) exists to help those with Parkinson’s Disease in the Greater Cincinnati/Greater Dayton area learn about the disease. This knowledge empowers individuals to take control and make connections with local resources like support and exercise groups. In addition to helping link people to programs that will aid them, the organization also produces educational programming, provides grants to exercise programs specially-tailored to the needs of Persons with Parkinson Disease, and sponsors support groups and other events designed to bring people together in a mutual supportive and encouraging environment. | |

We are primarily a Healthcare oriented organization. Because the majority of persons who have Parkinson’s disease are not diagnosed until age 60 or later, we are also a senior services organization.

We have opportunities for students to volunteer to help with our annual 5K fundraising event, Steady Strides. +Cheer leading at Start/Finish line, +Water stop attendants, + Set up/teardown, +Helpers with Little Striders short races for kids under 12 years old
