Mission Statement: Empowering breast cancer survivors to move beyond surviving, to live a life in which they thrive. Purpose Statement: Move Beyond Surviving is dedicated to empowering breast cancer survivors to overcome the emotional, physical, and mental impact resulting from their disease by physically challenging themselves in nature. Engaging in outdoor adventures can profoundly affect a survivor’s ability to live a life in which they thrive. |

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives. While treatment for this horrible disease continues to improve, the journey after treatment continues. The health of these Survivors is impacted physically, mentally, and spiritually. Move Beyond Surviving addresses these challenges through challenging activities in nature such as kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and horseback riding.
