| What is the mission of your organization? | The Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation (KSHC) is a Kentucky based 501 c(3) non-profit organization operating with the intent to educate, entertain and inspire past, current and future generations by operating historic rail equipment. The hallmark of our efforts is the restoration of Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Steam Locomotive 2716 to operation. The restoration and operation of 2716 and other historic pieces will prove to be living history and will serve as an educational tool, enhancing heritage tourism and stimulating economic growth. |

| Any comments about your selections you would like to share with the student philanthropists? | Arts & Culture – KSHC intends to develop an exhibit about the life and culture of railroading, specifically to the railroad built town where we are located.
Education – KSHC intends to partner with local schools to give hand on classroom about area railroad history and railroad equipment. Additionally KSHC will partner with local vocational institutions to develop unique hands on classroom for learning in-demand skills applied to restoring and maintaining railroad equipment. |
