What is the mission of your organization?

To provide the 3rd week of June of summer camp to kids with disabilities at Rocky Fork Lake in Hillsboro, Ohio.
We have 3 goals:
1. to provide 5 days and 4 nights of unforgettable fun for the children with special needs who attend.
2. to ensure a safe and encouragement for everyone.
3. to grow in human ways that we never thought possible.

Most schools have between $1000 and $1500 to grant. How could your organization use a grant of this size? *

Our kamp takes in over 300 kids with special needs and we do not rely on federal grants but appreciately take generous donations for scholarships for kampers who could not afford it, food that would be served during the week, just the overall operations of KAMPDOVETAIL.
The actual hard cost of food, services, materials, and supplies for our week long camp is approximately $200 per camper. This does not include any labor costs since everyone involved volunteers their time. Our low $50 registration fee is the result of our year long fundraising efforts. These fundraising efforts allow us to subsidize attending KAMP. We avoid passing the actual cost on to the campers or their families. Your gift of "adoption" ($200) allows us to accept an additional camper from our waiting list that normally would not have been able to attend KAMP.

Kamp Dovetail Volunteer Work one-on-one with a special needs child during the week of camp.

General Laborers Move equipment and supplies to and from events and working during an event.

Skilled Laborers Assist in construction of and improvements to facilities, Assist in maintenance of equipment, Assist in development of public relations content (web site, flyers, etc.).

Office Laborers Assist in faxing, copying, mailing, and organizing flyers, press releases, volunteer records, and camper records.

During the year, we have fundraisers and we always need volunteers to help raise money for kampdovetail.
