| What is the mission of your organization? | Habitat for Humanity seeks to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope. Our Repair Corps division specifically does critical home repairs for veterans and widows of veterans. This can include replacing a leaking roof to keep the home livable to installing a ramp for accessibility and everything in between. We seek to partner with these individuals in a very ‘hand-up’ not ‘hand-out’ way that brings dignity and allows us to give back to those who have given so much. |

| Unfortunately there are very few services available to veterans, particularly when it comes to housing, safety and accessibility. America’s veterans – particularly those that are elderly, or with disabilities deserve better. They tend to be a proud people, not wanting to accept charity which is why our program seeks to build a partnership relationship with the individuals we serve. We offer opportunity for them to be a part of the solution and to partner with us which brings them a sense of dignity and respect.
