What is the mission of your organization? |

|
The Greater Cincinnati Performing Arts Society was founded with a two-fold mission: To fill an identified void in the performing arts community in Cincinnati and to support local Catholic elementary education by means of tuition assistance. We present a series of seven concerts featuring Grammy nominated and award winning performers which runs from September through May. When people purchase a ticket to one of our performances, they can designate $5 of the ticket price to go to the school of their choice. We are looking to partner with other Foundations such as the ESAP Foundation, which also supports Catholic elementary education, to create synergies that can help benefit both organizations. By doing so, we feel we can better utilize resources and be more effective in achieving our mission. |

Most schools have between $1000 and $1500 to grant. How could your organization use a grant of this size? * |
Gifts of this size are very helpful in helping us cover some of our overhead expenses. While our expenses are low, compared with other organizations (we are 100% volunteer), there are numerous expenses and supplies we need in order to put on the concerts. Every gift we receive is important. |

Any other comments you would like to share with the students who might be reviewing your request? |
Our organization is taking a very different approach to funding a charity. Instead of asking for donations or holding fund raising events, we are providing high quality entertainment where people can have a great night out at a great value and support a great cause. It has taken several years to really get this moving, but we can see that people are finding out about us and we have a lot of great support. |
