Any comments about your selections you would like to share with the student philanthropists?
Fugees Family partners with communities to create schools and programs designed for newcomer and multilingual learners. We combine rigorous, language-rich academics with small cohorts, caring adult relationships, and whole-child supports like wellness, arts, and athletics. Our classrooms are culturally sustaining and trauma-informed, so students feel safe, seen, and ready to learn. By focusing on literacy, mastery, and real-world skills, we close opportunity gaps and open pathways to high school graduation, careers, and college; advancing educational justice for young people who are rebuilding their lives.

Children: Safe, stable, relationship-driven spaces; wraparound supports (wellness, arts, athletics); strong family engagement.

Education: Literacy-first, language-rich instruction; small cohorts; mastery-based acceleration; real-world projects.

Equity: Resources targeted by need; clear pathways to credentials and careers; removing barriers to participation.

Inclusion: Cultures and home languages treated as assets; diverse staff; culturally sustaining, trauma-informed practices; welcoming community for every learner.
