Friends of Metro Parks Mission Statement

The Friends of MetroParks of Butler County is a 501c3 organization created
a. To support, improve, protects and preserve MetroParks of Butler County for the usage and enjoyment of this and future generations.
b. To inform and educate the public about the unique qualities of MetroParks of Butler County including the natural, geological, biological, cultural, historical, and recreational features.
c. To encourage individuals and groups to participate in a cooperative volunteer program to promote and improve the Parks with the MetroParks of Butler County.

Any comments about your selections you would like to share with the student philanthropists?
We are the non-profit arm of the Butler County MetroParks. We seek to enhance the environment and opportunities for all of the guests to the parks. Our current effort is raising money to ensure that ALL of the playground equipment has handicap apparatus and activities. The goal of this effort is
1) To have available activities for physically challenged children.
2) To enhance inclusivity for all.
3) To provide an area for parents so that they can bring both challenged and non-challenged children together.
4) To provide an area so that our non-challenged children can interact and learn how to include all people.
