Most schools have between $1000 and $1500 to grant. How could your organization use a grant of this size? *

Clovernook Center would use a grant of $1,000 (or $1,500) for our Guide Dog Program, which helps to cover the costs associated with owning and caring for a guide dog. In the past, this program has assisted individuals who are blind or visually impaired with emergency vet bills, grooming expenses, dog food, teeth cleaning, vaccinations, etc. Any pet owner understands the financial stress an animal can place on an individual’s pocket book. The effect is even greater for an individual who may or may not have a job but who must keep this pet for their own safety and mobility. Many of the individuals who have received assistance from the Guide Dog Program are out of work or living check to check and cannot afford to keep up with grooming, emergency vet bills, etc.

Any other comments you would like to share with the students who might be reviewing your request?

Clovernook Center's existing Guide Dog Fund is down to roughly $300. Our consumers and employees would benefit greatly from a grant to raise the balance of funds available for emergency assistance and we would be grateful for any amount. Thank you for your consideration!
