We have two distinct opportunities for students to consider. First, we have a free clinic in Roselawn serving those who are uninsured. The clinic is staffed by a part time coordinator and volunteer physicians and community volunteers. It provides free comprehensive eye examinations to uninsured low income adults. Patients in need of eye glasses are provided with vouchers that are redeemable at participating local optical stores.
The second opportunity is to help support a project with Cincinnati Public Schools. We are opening an eye clinic at Oyler school on the lower west end (serving one of the cities poorest communities) that will provide free eye screening and eyeware to students and their families who meet established criteria. The clinic will open school year 2012 and will serve children throughout the year.

Any other comments you would like to share with the students who might be reviewing your request?

Our community outreach programs are designed to serve those who are less fortunate providing visiion screening at the Roselawn Clinic as well as Oyler School. We also provide lectures and screening to a variety of civic clubs, senior citizen centers on topics such as eye care and disease management as well as hearing.
