| Churches Active In Northside (CAIN) is a 501(c)3 community-based neighborhood ministry. Connecting our community to challenge poverty by feeding bodies and souls, CAIN exemplifies churches working together across denominational lines and in conjunction with other organizations, groups, schools, and businesses.
CAIN is an oasis in the Northside food desert: building community and extending compassionate care and hospitality to its most vulnerable neighbors. CAIN does not serve clients, or even customers; anyone who receives services is treated as and referred to as a guest. This core practice ensures that each person is respected, valued and given individual attention to overcome barriers of stigma and shame for seeking assistance. |
