What is the mission of your organization? | More than 1,000 children die every day from diseases caused by drinking unsafe water. P&G, in collaboration with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has developed a low-cost technology to purify even heavily contaminated drinking water so that it meets World Health Organization standards for safe drinking water. |
Which social causes (up to 3 choices) does your agency address through its programming? * |
|
Any comments about your selections you would like to share with the student philanthropists? | P&G scientists invented the P&G Purifier of Water technology while attempting to clean dirty laundry water. The innovation became the foundation for the CSDW Program. With only a bucket, a stick, and a clean cloth, this small packet, engineered to be a mini water treatment plant, purifies 10 liters of dirty, potentially deadly, water into clean drinkable water in only 30 minutes. |
Does your organization have volunteer opportunities available for students? * | No, sorry. |
