What is the mission of your organization? | OUR VISION is a community without homeless pets where all residents have access to quality, affordable spay/neuter, veterinary care, and other resources to help keep their pets in their loving homes.
OUR MISSION is ending the euthanasia of cats and dogs in local shelters and keeping pets in their loving homes by providing professional and affordable spay/neuter and wellness services. |
Which social causes (up to 3 choices) does your agency address through its programming? * |
|
Any comments about your selections you would like to share with the student philanthropists? | We believe that every person deserves the love, companionship and health benefits that a pet cat or dog provides. We also believe that every pet deserves a vet. So, we provide basic veterinary care to pet owners living in poverty so their pets can stay healthy and with them instead of being surrendered to a shelter because of costly medical issues the owner cannot afford. |
Does your organization have volunteer opportunities available for students? * | Yes, Grades 6 – 12 |
List possible volunteer opportunities -or- a link to where they can be found on the web. | Volunteers must be 18 years or older unless they come with a parent or teacher to supervise them. Typical volunteer activities include putting together rabies tab packets, putting together surgical packs, laundry, community outreach, marketing, etc. With a teacher to supervise, we can have classes come for a day to do various tasks for the clinic. We do not permit volunteers to help with the animals because they are medicated. |
