What is the mission of your organization? | St. Al’s is an integrated network of mental health and specialized education solutions for children and adolescents in Southwest Ohio. We help children and families in our community overcome their challenges by providing the education, counseling, health care and resources they need to heal and grow. |

All of the children referred to St. Aloysius are faced with cognitive, behavioral, social, or mental health challenges.
Virtually all children at St. Al’s have experienced trauma, although all may not necessarily have a formal trauma diagnosis. Adding to these challenges, the vast majority of students come from disadvantaged home environments. All of the children served come from families who live below the federal poverty level. Every student comes from households with incomes that qualify them to receive free and reduced lunch as well as Medicaid coverage for all services. More than 1 in 5 kids have a current mental, emotional, or behavioral disorder; more than 80% of those kids do not get appropriate treatment. St. Aloysius offers a continuum of carefully-designed programs and services, all in the context of trauma-responsive care. |
