The mission of The ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.

The ALS Association serving Northern Ohio, serves people affected by ALS (also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease) and their families. We provide services and resources to those living with ALS and their families, free of charge. ALS is twice as likely to affect those who served in the military than those who did not.

Students can participate in the Walk to Defeat ALS by forming a team with friends and family. Students can also coordinate an event, with friends, family and other students, referred to as a Community Partner Event. Suggested events include penny war, ice bucket challenge, bake sale, craft sale,,and more. We can provide support and assistance with these events.
