What is the mission of your organization? | |
Empower Youth was founded in March of 2015 by Scott and Lori Conley. The purpose of Empower Youth is to emancipate the young people we serve and their families from the bondage of generational poverty. We accomplish this by providing resources, fostering relationships and aiding in education. The ultimate goal is to enable our students to become self-sufficient, resourceful, goal oriented adults. We offer programs to school age youth year round. Our programs include: • community picnics during the summer months help us build relationships with families • a back to school program where we distribute school supplies and assess student needs • the Back Pack meals program sends groceries home with at risk students for the weekend • Leadership classes offered through the local school systems • Arts programing open to the community • Summer Camp Scholarship program • Free meal programs during the summer. We believe by providing for their needs and building relationships we will help them find success, achieve their goals and become independent from poverty. |
