Hope for Kids Geauga is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for abused, at-risk and neglected youth throughout Geauga County, Ohio.

| Hope for Kids collaborates with organizations like Job and Family Services (JFS), The Children’s Alliance, Next Step, and Torchlight to provide funding for needs that those agencies are not able to meet. We help students attain things like new glasses, hair cuts, outfits for prom, and bicycles. We helped one young man, newly on his own and working, get a washer and dryer. When a young man needed new tires for his car so he could get to work we paid for them. Annually we support children through Geauga JFS by paying for summer camps. We help children with anxiety and emotional concerns by paying for them to attend a special horse therapy program. Agencies apply for funding to us when children and young adults need things that are not in their budget. Children who experience abuse and/or neglect are at much higher risk for poor academic achievement, mental health disorders, drug abuse and criminal activities. We are trying to fill the gap so they get what they need. | |
