What is the mission of your organization? |
Life Learning Center’s mission is to deliver a holistic, integrated continuum of education and care to help our ‘at-risk’ citizens step up to their highest potential. Our vision is to build a caring and serving community by helping people learn, secure, and sustain a better way of living through gainful employment. The people we serve become healthier, happier, and more productive individuals working to change their future.

Life Learning Center (LLC) is a place to provide hope for “at-risk” individuals in our community who are ready to commit to long-term life change for themselves and their families. LLC is on a quest to deliver a more permanent – even transformational – solution within our traditional social services networks for less hopeful individuals who are able and willing to seek a life of stability and purpose. Our 12-week Foundations for a Better Life curriculum addresses five key areas of life (physical, emotional, relational, financial, and spiritual). This curriculum, paired with care services like access to food, transportation, and basic hygiene supplies, gives individuals the tools they need to improve their life and the lives of their children.
Does your organization have volunteer opportunities available for students? * |
Yes, Grades 9 – 12

List possible volunteer opportunities -or- a link to where they can be found on the web.
There’s always a need for volunteers on-site at Life Learning Center. In the past, students have worked in our Pillars Café, Clothing Closet (the Hanger), and across other areas of our facility for special projects. In terms of monetary and in-kind donations, high school students have also organized various clothing, shoe, and hygiene drives in addition to coordinating penny wars between grades or schools. From what we have learned, these opportunities grant students the capacity to still participate in various extracurricular activities and service projects/volunteer work.
