| What is the mission of your organization? | |
| JEE Foods is a high-school student-powered food rescue organization on the road to save perfectly good food from going to waste while feeding our neighbors in-need. Through a volunteer-powered network, we recover perfectly good food from across the food system and work in collaboration with over 150+ nonprofit organizations to reach those in-need. At JEE Foods, we aim to not only address the immediate need for food but also work towards addressing the root causes of poverty. We strive to break the cycle of poverty by creating a cycle of improvement. | |

While we primarily focus on food recovery, we believe that food is the foundational need to support individuals in breaking the poverty cycle. Our three-seed approach uses food to target the root causes of poverty: a lack of jobs, education, and an unstable economy.
