Any comments about your selections you would like to share with the student philanthropists? | We started as an organization focused on care and support for affected individuals and families, but increasingly, research and a focus on educating the public about healthy preventative behaviors are an important part of our mission. Because we know that the processes associated with Alzheimer’s begin to appear in the brain approximately 20 years before symptoms begin, and because there is no treatment or cure for Alzheimer’s, brain healthy behaviors that may slow onset is key for young people to understand. |

List possible volunteer opportunities -or- a link to where they can be found on the web. | We have volunteer opportunities for students grades 6-12 and beyond. These include volunteering at any of our six annual Walks to End Alzheimer’s through our Chapter and at other events, representing us in the community at health fairs and expos, and helping here in our offices with various tasks including making calls to our constituents and supporters.
